Let me explain. Bear Pond is a secluded lake that doesn't have public docks. It's only called a pond because of the nearby lake, but believe me, this place is huge! Our relatives have a house right on the pond. No motors on the pond, just peace and quiet. > > > > -Faux "Lake Travis, just outside of Austin, Texas is neat, too!" Bear Pond or Lake Travis?
Bear Pond is just to the NW of Lake Hopatcong, in the northern part of New Jersey, just northish of I-80.
Lake Travis is another one of Texas' man-made lakes on the Colorado River. It's a few miles west of Austin, at the start of what's called the German Hill Country.
