Argh. Drives me nuts when people think everyone in Oklahoma still rides around on horses and listens to country music--like the whole state is a giant hick town. Texas, on the other hand. . . . It's funny, everyone here says that stuff about Texas, and I'm sure everyone in Texas says that about people here (when they're not busy getting drunk at football games). Just to clarify before anyone gets upset, I don't really think that about Texans. My husband's father grew up on an Indian reservation in New York. Once, he was out walking and some people pulled up in a car and asked him where the reservation was. He told them they were on it, and they said, "But where are the teepees?" People. But it could be worse. I have family in Alaska--everyone there rides dogsleds and eats whales.
