Go climbing.

If you have a local climbing wall, then if you look at the noticeboard there are always people on odd shift rotations looking for a climbing partner. And if there isn't then there will be when you put your name up...

And if you can't belay/climb well, then you could always do the introductory course, as it forces the guy behind the desk into interacting with you for an hour or two. And most climbers are very sociable.

Plus, if he's kind of cute, then you can check out his butt as it leaps athletically from hold to hold.

Caveat: if you wear anything figure hugging or a sports crop top, you will be ogled senseless in return. Just warning you.
