Well, after reading the responses.. I'm half torn between Dave and Morris... Weird place to be, you can imagine.

Anyway, you have a really nice shade of red from what I can tell, so I can see where Dave is coming from. However...

Morris has a point too. Doing a temporary color is cool and they do generally wash out in a few days. However, if you're going to do this, keep in mind the color only holds for 7-8 days max. It's not going to be in there too long, so if you're looking to shock us as well as your mom, you might want to consider this.

Anyway, being the queen of hair dye, I'd say just do it. But that's me. Here's the question... if this really messes up your hair, can you live with it until it grows out, or feel comfortable with dying it another color that's more natural until then? If you can't answer yes, then it's probably not a good idea.
