To save people the trouble of asking you, I'll explain the "rug group" thing myself. One of Mousie's lesser known hobbies is doing volunteer work hand-sewing wigs and hairpieces for a charity which supplies them to people who have lost their hair through chemotherapy or other medical problems. Most of the hair they use comes from hair salon clippings, so Mousie spends a lot of her spare time going around salons picking out bunches of matching colours and textures from their floor sweepings. It sounded a bit gross the first time I heard about it, but obviously you have to get it from *somewhere*.

Since she's still learning how to sew the actual toupees, most of the ones she makes now are "seconds" which are distributed to deserving punk bands, up-and-coming third-rate politicians, and used car salesmen.

One of the nicest things about Mousie's "rug group" activities is that she's so self-effacing about this wonderful voluntary contribution she makes to the less fortunate. I never thought I'd see her mention it on the forum, that's for sure. And now that I've gone and told everybody the secret, I'm sure she'll deny everything.
