See if the local university is having a gaming convention. You can show up for a beginner-level game, hang out with a group of four to six guys who haven't quite gotten the grasp of personal hygiene, will probably stare at you slackjawed because a female hasn't spoken to them since Star Trek: The Next Generation first aired, and have horrible socialization skills yet be able to tell you about how their character found this really cool sword this one time and...

On second thought maybe this isn't such a good idea.
