YES! I saw the title of this post and wondered instantly if it would be about fairy penguins. I got to see them in Australia when I was about four years old... we were in Melbourne, and took a bus or something to a south-facing coastline and waited for them to come in to their rookery.

It ruled. They are charming little birds, and it was rather amusing to watch them waddle to their little burrows, chatter to each other, meet the penguins who had stayed home with chicks. (The chicks were adorable, too.) That's most of what I remember, but I remember being very amused by those penguins. The only place I've seen that was as cool, regarding penguins, is the penguin exhibit in the Monterey Bay Aquarium Splash Zone.

And yes, they do have such personality. Hehe.
