Yes, that's right. I did that for about five years. My job description was "assistant editor" but it involved doing everything from proofing and graphic design to writing feature articles. I've also had a few bits and pieces published in other magazines as a freelance journalist. I lack good original ideas for writing fiction, though, and unfortunately that's the only sort of writing I'd really *like* to do.
