Though apparently no major songs were released on December 13 of my birth year, "Alice's Restaurant" (Arlo Guthrie), "Foxy Lady" (Jimi Hendrix) and "Slow Ride" (Foghat) were released on that date in past years.

The #1 song in the US on the week of my birthday was "Mickey" by Toni Basil. Ugh.

Oh, and since this thread was started by Brunnen-G: New Zealand was discovered on 13 December 1642. ;-)
