Oh, I don't know. I think maybe I could. Sometimes my imagination just takes me over and runs wild.
A year or so ago, I came up with a big tale about this old guy who retired from an auto parts business. Instead of selling out, he just locked the door and went home. Then almost 35 years later, his heirs opened the door and found all these priceless old car parts including whole engines, fenders and out of production electrical parts. Just for fun, I threw in three Cushman scooters and lots of Cushman parts. I even claimed to have been invited to help sort through it. Then I posted it on a Cushman forum. At the end, I confessed that it was a big lie and said that I had just posted it there to show how easy it was to make up stuff like that. That put a stop to an epidemic of wild goose chases and unreliable tips about where "somebody" had a scooter or parts. Most of them took it as a good joke and I haven't been lynched. . . . yet.
