We need to make John Williams immortal. If you can hum the main theme to a movie (and provided the theme is not a vocal pop song or something like that) it's an odds on bet that John Williams wrote it. Check out this list if you don't believe me. All of these movies were scored by John Williams:

Jaws
Jurassic Park
Star Wars
Indiana Jones
Superman
Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Any *one* of these themes would be enough to make a person a legend--John did them *all*. And that's just the beginning. He's scored countless other movies (I count well over a hundred after a quick perusal of IMDb).

Here's the question: Who else can score a movie lie John Williams can? Answer: Nobody. This is why I think all of the vast financial and technological resources of the world should be immediately dedicated to making him immortal. Because the guy isn't getting any younger, and I don't think I can deal with the idea of there ever being a day when movies can no longer be scored by John Williams.

Any right-thinking person would agree.
