A Musing Or Two About That Star Wars Movie posted by Faux Pas on Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at 10:01:42:
> I find it interesting how, even after the "Why don't you people listen to film critics?" message thread, nearly everyone is anticipating seeing Star Wars Episode 2 despite the overwhelming evidence that the movie shall suck. In fact, the best thing I've heard about the movie is that it's supposed to be better than Episode 1.
I'm not a huge Star Wars fan and I openly admit that I've never even seen Return of the Jedi. However, my boyfriend got tickets from a guy at his work, so last night at 8:30, I found myself standing outside the movie theater waiting in line. We ended up finding some friends inside who had been waiting since 8:30 in the MORNING and they gave us two seats in the prime area- center of the theater.
The movie itself was pretty good. I wasn't all that impressed with Episode I, but II is definately better. It is worth the money to see it in the theater, especially if you go with the crazy crowd of Star Wars fans like I did. Everyone cheered at the entrance of the well-known characters and it was an exciting atmosphere.
