Heck, if she's put up with being pregnant for nine months, I suppose she can put up with it for a few more days. If she wants to go on bumpy car rides and long walks, fine, but do try to keep them within reaching distance of civilisation. Recently a woman who was two weeks overdue went into labour on the ferry I work on, while it was halfway back from the island. I knew labour could take anything from several hours to more than a day, but that was still half a ferry trip I didn't particularly need.
