I almost never see movies in the theater, but some of those choices make me think I may change my mind. Sounds like a good year... So far anyway. Spiderman has already impressed me. Fully worth the $4.50 to see. Anyway, on to individual impressions...

No interest. I saw Episode I and it didn't impress me. I was never a big Star Wars fan to begin with. Having sort of dozed through parts of Ep. I, I can almost honestly say I've never seen an entire Star Wars movie. Certainly none of the earlier ones.

> May 24 - Insomnia

I agree with most of the opinions I've seen on here. Robin Williams in the role of a villain makes me want to see it. Without him, though, I wouldn't even bother to rent it. Definitely not seeing it in theaters.

> May 24 - Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron

Again I'm agreeing with most people. Trailers and the title make me not want to see it. Dreamworks makes me curious. However, I doubt my interest will last long enough to even remember it when it comes out on video.

> May 31 - The Sum of All Fears

I have yet to like a movie based on a Tom Clancy novel and I doubt I will start now. Especially starring Ben Affleck. Gah.

> June 7 - Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood

Looks a fabulous movie, but I would never admit interest in it to anyone. I will probably see it at a relatives house over some holiday, as I seem to see all really good tear-jerker chick flicks.

> June 14 - Scooby-Doo

Based on the trailers I didn't want to see it. I saw a few clips on Rosie though, and it doesn't look half bad. Might be worth a rent.

> June 14 - Windtalkers

World War II? I will probably be forced by some male relative to see this movie, but it will be seriously against my will.

> June 14 - The Bourne Identity

Sounds fabulous. I think of the Ben Affleck/Matt Damon combo, Damon is by far the better actor. I've liked most of his movies I've seen. The premise is awesome. I wish I'd read the book. I will be disappointed if it turns out to be all action and no plot though.

> June 18 - Air Bud 4: Seventh Inning Fetch
>
> Bet you didn't even know there was an Air Bud 3.

You'd be right. Only had vague notions of Air Bud 2.

> June 21 - Lilo & Stitch

I want to see this. Will I pay extra to see it in the theater? No way. But it looks worth the rent.

> June 21 - Minority Report

I saw the trailer for this before Spiderman. Awesome. I'd shell out the cash to see it in the theater, but I'm worried myself about the acting of it(keeping the interest for the whole movie, blah, etc). The more of PKD I see though, the more I wish my library actually had some of his books...

> June 28 - Mr. Deeds

I don't know why everyone hates Adam Sandler so much. He's made horrible movies, this I won't dispute, but he's also made very funny ones. This looks as if it might be interesting, and Winona Ryder might temper Sandler a bit.

> July 3 - Men In Black 2

Want to see it. I don't really think it will be any good, but seeing sequels is always good closure. From trailers I've seen it might not even be as horrible as it sounds.

> July 12 - Crocodile Hunter: The Collision Course

Ha. Haha. Hahahahahahah. No. I doubt very much I will be seeing this movie. If I can get realplayer to work I might check out the trailer...

> July 12 - Reign of Fire

Sounds so horrible it might be good. I'll wait until I've at least seen a trailer to make a judgement.

> July 12 - Road To Perdition

Tom Hanks put me off severely in Castaway. However, American Beauty is possibly my favorite movie of all time. The premise doesn't really impress me though, so I probably won't see it.
>
> July 19 - Stuart Little 2
>
> Gah.

I've been forced to watch the first one. It would cause me physical pain to see this movie.

> July 19 - Halloween: Resurrection

Bad guys who won't die is old, and we all know it. However, I have to agree with something someone else said: this movie cannot POSSIBLY be so horribly bad as Jason X. I seriously thought that movie was a comedy when I saw the trailer.

> July 19 - Eight Legged Freaks

Sounds like a B movie. I didn't know they still made those.

> July 26 - Austin Powers in Goldmember

Austin Powers 2 was Austin Powers 1 with more vulgarity. I don't want to know what they do with Austin Powers 3.

> August 2 - Signs

The actors and the director sound cool. I looked up the premise on imdb and was not impressed. It sounds like another "the aliens are coming" sort of movie. Who knows though. I'll wait for the trailers.

> August 2 - XXX

I'm not even sure who this movie is aimed at. It's by the same guy who made the Fast and the Furious though. That's enough to make me not want to see it right there.

> August 7 - Spy Kids 2: The Island of the Lost Dreams

I have not seen Spy Kids, so I don't know what to think of a sequel. Many people have said good things, but I'm still a bit leery about a children's movie. Too many of them have been saccharine filth lately.

> August 14 - Blood Work

Clint Eastwood puts me off. The premise puts me off. Chances are I won't even notice when this comes out on video.

> August 16 - The Adventures of Pluto Nash

Strange. It sounds almost interesting, but without more info I can't judge. I've found Eddie Murphy very unfunny lately, but I haven't seen Bowfinger. And he was funny in his earlier career. *shrug*

> August 16 - The Tuxedo
>
> Jackie Chan? I'm there.

Ditto. Jackie Chan rocks. His movies are always funny and interesting. I've found I even like the dubbed ones from China. I'll at least see this on video, just from what I've seen in trailers and his reputation.

> August 16 - Simone

Sounds strange. I'd think that I'd see this, but after constantly trying to get myself to rent AI and failing, I doubt I will have the ambition too. I suppose I will have to live off other peoples descriptions.

Mel"Not really a movie goer actually. Book reading to movie watching ratio: 10:1"anie
