You should check with your local PBS station.
They had a nationwide PBS pledge drive
about a month or so ago, and if your station
met its goal, then supposedly the movie would
come to a theater near you. I have no idea
when this is supposed to happen, though.

The pledge drive was held live from Canada,
and all the main cast members participated.
Every time a station met its goal, they'd play
this silly cartoon of a rocket going off and then
all the girls on the phones would drop 'em,
pick up pom poms and start doing a cheer to
some silly music. It was great. (They were
shooting right from the Possum Lodge.) They
also showed several clips from the movie (it
looks really funny) and did interviews with cast
members and extras. From what I could tell,
all the extras were fans of the show from all
over who won a contest to be in the movie.

Anyway, I can't wait for it to come out on video...
