> Oh, and there's another no-no in my book: people who don't close their dresser drawers all the way. That is also horribly WRONG, and the same thing goes for drawers and cupboards in the kichen. While I'm revealing all of my secret pet peeves, how about those crooked pictures on the walls? EVIL, I tell you, EVIL.

Yet another reason to hate RH. We work in an office together. An office will file drawers and cabinet drawers and desk drawers and cabinet doors and he leaves them ALL open. I hate him.

As a side note, I have always wondered what it means about me that my desktop can be relatively messy -- even though I know where everything is -- but my drawers (and closets, at home) are in perfect order, a place for everything and everything in its place.

As a further aside, I have this Les Nessmanish peeve about people coming around to my side of my desk. I realize I'm just a secretary, but come on. If you come straight into my office, you are smack in the middle of the front of my desk (which is nearly always clear, in case you need to set something down or give something to me). To get to my side of my desk, you have to make a left, a right, and another right, granted, all small and within a few steps of each other, but still. So the other day, a woman who had recently come in and had come around to my side of my desk was coming back. To dissuade her from coming around to stand beside me while I did my notary thing on her documents, before she came in I opened not one, but two of my desk drawers, all the way, so she'd have to stay at least to the side of them and not come all the way to my side. SHE CLOSED THE DRAWERS. I was USING one of them, going in and out of it for the various things I need to notarize documents, and SHE CLOSED THEM BOTH. (Sam might delight in knowing her last name starts with V.) So anyway. Take the hint much, lady?

messy.

I make my bed while I'm still in it. Do a spread eagle, flip the covers once or twice (kind of like they do with sheets in those fresh, clean laundry commercials, fold them back on one side, climb out, fold them back over, and with minor straightening, I'm done. I got it from Heloise.
