I've gotten used to this fact. What annoyed me was a bit I saw in the IMDB's "Studio Briefing" today that mentioned that a panel that included such well respected people as Martin Scorcese picked Hitchcock's 10 Best Films. I figured that RW wouldn't be first (I firmly expected both Psycho and Vertigo to be ahead, even though to me they are inferior movies). When I'd read the Top 5 and it still wasn't there I was upset. A few seconds later when I had finished the list I read it twice more to make SURE I hadn't missed it. Yup, you guessed it -- RW didn't make the cut. Apparently, Frenzy (at number eight) is better. Frenzy. Come on people!

> As for "Frenzy," it's said to be an underrated great. Maybe it is -- by any other director, surely the work would have garnered more notice. But by virtue of the fact that Hitchcock directed many that are superior, it is often overlooked. Undeservedly so, perhaps, but let's not overcompensate by ranking it #8 in Hitch's filmography.

I have to put in my two pence worth about Rear Window. I heard there was a remake, but I won't go see it. With Grace Kelley, Raymond Burr and Jimmy Stewart, it is not just Hitch's best, its right up there with Casablanca. How could anybody top a cast like that? I saw Vertigo and Pshcho, but I remember more of the details from Rear Window. I came out of the theater a nervous wreck.
How(saw them when they were new)ard
