Personally, I think number 3 sounds grand. I love being able to use cookies to store login info, it is a real pain to have to type in stuff otherwise. And while I personally don't know anything about them, most sites like that also allow manual login (as well as the ability to not use cookies) which gives the user the advantage of choosing between 2 and 3. I don't understand why don't like either of those options - I've actually been hoping you'd do one of those for a while (particuarly with the Site Market game, and also because I hate always having to type in my name here).
