Yes! That's what I find so bizarre: I can remember something I've read far more easily than something I've heard.

But I've also read that, at least according to some psychologists, the concept of "visual learning" can further be divided into two distinct types, verbal and spatial; and, of course, I fall into the former category rather than the latter.

I've actually come up with a good term that describes my own learning style: "typographical learning". That is, I can remember things in the form of printed words and the like, and the things which most stand out at me *are* those features which could be described as typographical. (And of course, typographical errors also stand out quite well, but that's another story! ;-))
