I liked the April Fools day RinkWorks press release. It used my favorite forumla which is,
start with something believable and progress through statements of increasing unbelievability until it get so silly nobody will fall for it.

I used this method a few years ago here on RinkWorks when I started on a riding lawn mower, had a minor mishap that started a car rolling, which made a motorhome run away and hit the house.
It ended up opening an earthquake fault, and the last statement was, "We don't have to worry about Y2K any more."

Now that I think of it, it must have been late in 1999.
