Well, here we have three different companies that do credit ratings. They all currently charge $9 for a copy of your report. It is possible to get a free copy of your credit report, but only if you meet certain criteria. For example, last year I got a free copy of my Equifax credit report after we were turned down for a card that we had supposedly been "preapproved" for. You can also get a free copy if you have reason to believe you've been a victim of credit fraud or identity theft.
Just out of curiosity, what are the two companies Over There that do credit ratings? The three here are Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian.
