OK, that scares me. I can't imagine a waiter / waitress acting like that, and I certainly wouldn't go back to that restaurant again.

Having said that, it does sound like she deserved a larger tip, but tipping *ought* to be entirely volentary and the staff certainly don't have any right to *expect* to be tipped.
