Speaking of context, the thing most baffling about this post is that occured only a few above TOS's post on Rinkforum appreciation, and all the great things it has going for it in comparison to the rest of the internet.

Maybe the rinkforum was much better x years/months ago before the newbies showed up, x persons stopped posting, it was more heavily moderated, people deliberately avoided posting pointless threads-whatever. It's still the best forum I've seen on the internet, and still quite often an amusing and intellectually stimulating read.

Even if a good portion of what you read here is garbage, appreciate what good topics do come out, and spend your time on those.

Maybe it should be more about witty satire, interesting comments, and whatnot rather than recounting one's daily life. I personally still enjoy such posts for what they are. If we want a better forum, there's not much we can do beyond doing our best to post quality topics and posts. Bitterness won't help anyone in the long run.
