If this is what I think it is, namely having a cyst removed, then my father has this done every few years or so. For some reason the guy grows these nasty fatty cysts on his back and neck (and once on his cheek--eeeeew) and when they start to bother him he gets them removed. It's a fairly simple procedure. Since it's local, you don't go under, you just get the area numbed up. The doctor makes a cut, reaches in, pulls out the cyst, cuts it off at the "root" or whatever the hell those nasty things have, then sews you back up. At least, that's what they do to my dad.

Here's hoping I never start growing those nasty things. Especially not on my FACE.
