Sam, once again I must thank you for being such a wise,and caring friend.

As I have said in my replies to everyone else's replies to my post (that sounds funny), I did not mean to imply that I was exchanging one extreem for the other, but rather that I had moved away from one extreem by realizing the value of the other way of thinking.

Standing where I do now, looking at what the future holds for me, I must admit that the commitment of marrage has me a little daunted. There are so many unknowns that you have to face, and you cannot prepare for everything. There will be hard times that must be overcome, whether these come from within the relationship or without, but I feel/think that I am ready for this.
I cannot explain to you how reassuring and helpful it is to hear from someone who has already been through this part of their lives. Although no two people will ever have the same experience, there are many things that wise insight from an experienced friend can help to avoid. I greatly apreciate the stories and advice that has been offered to me over the past several days, and I can't begin to express how greatful I am to have such a good group of friends.
