I don't mean to be rude, but the word is "doublespeak". I think.

I don't know about people saying that one day our government will brainwash us and soon control our every move and thought. But I have read a few articles and seen a few Web sites that claim some of the major corporations of America are out to do that very thing.

There was a quote in the book somewhere in part one:
