[snip new movie...amazing book...]

I remember years ago watching an episode of
the Friday the 13th television show where this
girl and her boyfriend stumbled upon an
antique watch that had the ability to stop time
around the person(s) using the watch. The
bearer(s) of the watch would be free to move
about and do whatever they wanted while time
was stopped. I think they had something like
twenty minutes of their own time to do stuff
while regular time was stopped, or maybe it
was an hour. The catch was, they had to
murder someone every time they wanted to
use the watch in order to get it to work. (You
see, it was a cursed watch, just like all the
other magical artifacts that people found and
used on that show.)

Anyway, this girl and her boyfriend used the
watch to rob jewelry stores. In the end, the
good guys managed to get the watch away
from the bad guys just before their stopped
time ran out, and they got frozen in time when
everything else went back to normal.
