Also, remember that feelings aren't always irrational, and logic alone sometimes is. In some situations, an emotional response is part of the right response. To be in love with your fiancee, to be loyal to a friend, to be angered at injustice, to be proud of an achievement, to grieve at a funeral--these are common examples of rational emotion. Sometimes I think that the rift between reason and feelings has been greatly exaggerated. Use all the faculties you've got.
