Actually, those of us from Michigan argue (every so often) over whether we are Michiganders or Michiganians. The Michigander crowd generally wins, although there is a strong, vocal minority who favor Michiganian.

Those of us who live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (the U.P.) are called "Yoopers."

Those poor saps who live in the Lower Peninsula are called "Trolls."
