This reminds me of a show my mom and I saw once. They were interviewing a lady who collected ugly ashtrays. She said she was always looking for the ugliest ones she could find and she never paid more than two dollars for them.

To me this seems like the ideal collection, because if you break it/you lose it/it gets stolen, hey, it was ugly anyway.
