Well, Britain owns Gibraltar, a small piece of land on the southernmost tip of Spain. It's only about two square miles in area.

A Royal Marines detachment was on an exercise and had to storm a beach and take the watchtower, sort of thing. It was right on the Spain-Gibraltar border and someone read the map wrong and they stormed the Spanish beach instead of the Gibraltan one.

Easy mistake to make I suppose...
