They have different sets of skills and abilities, and the game will (trust me) play completely differently depending on which you pick. Diablo is faster-paced: I've never had to stand around building levels before I could do anything. PKers exist, yeah, and they suck - but, hey, making them illegal would suck even more. Part of the idea here is that you can interact with the other players. And if that means killing them, so be it.

Okay, want my experiences with Diablo?

Computer: Pick a class

Me: I'm just starting, so let's go with all around warrior guy.

Computer: Okay, here ya go. [drops me in the middle of a town]

Me: Oh look, people. [Talks to people, realize they don't have much to say]. Okay, where do I kill stuff at? [Spends 5 minutes looking for the blasted entrance to the dungeons].

Enemies: Rar!

Me: [Clicks frantically] Whoo, some gold. Let's keep going.

Enemies: Rar!

Me: [Clicks less frantically] Oh look, a bow. [Equips bow] Maybe now this will rock.

Enemies: Rar!

Me: [Clicks frantically] Okay... this sucks. I'm going to play something fun.

Of course, I'm still up for a game.

Ste "Will play anything" phen

P.S. How about some Tetrinet sometime? The possibilities are endless!
