I took a few rides in both types while I was in Uncle Sam's School for Boys. For some reason, we enjoyed the C-5A more {:)

My stepson is currently a WingNut working on guidance and control systems in C-130 gunships.
Those things are godawful! They pack two 20mm gatling guns and a 150mm HOWITZER. In a PLANE for catssake.
'Course, if you're a grunt, you love to see one of those things overhead (if its a friendly)!
