In a small (two or three cup) mixing bowl add a 1/3 cup of baking soda, a pinch of salt, and a 1/4 teaspoon of flour. Sift all ingredients. Make certain the ingredients are properly sifted. This is very important. Next, take a 1/2 cup of lemon juice and pour directly into the mixing bowl. Stir until well blended, about fifty strokes. In a separate bowl, combine 2/3 cup sugar (white) and 1/3 cup brown sugar (dark, if you have it). Slowly fold in the lemon mixture. Add one teaspoon of vanilla and mix well. Place by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes at 450 degrees.
