My dad stopped smoking, and then became friends with a guy who smoked, and started smoking again himself. My aunt stopped smoking and started again. I wish they had been warned. Maybe they were, and didn't pay attention, but I think if you're careful you can probably avoid it. I know there are so many good things people say about not smoking anymore, like they have a greater lung capacity and better sense of smell. So good luck, wintermute! > > Gahalia
My parents had not smoked since just after I was born, yet 16 years later, when dad lost his job and we were in financial difficulty, Mum said: "God, I need a smoke!" She then saw me in the corridor, and said to me: "Don't ever start smoking. That is what it does to you." This is advice I've never forgotten.
Wm: They didn't take it up again. You can be as strong as they are. Good Luck!
