Some more details, since you asked, and I looked them up after posting this and, surprisingly, found them.

I first came to Rinkworks on August 21st, 2000. Every time this has been asked before, I didn't know that, because I couldn't find the email that started it, but I just dug it up. As for why I stayed... It started because I kept coming back to check for updates on Computer Stupidites and Things People Said, and then because I kept coming back looking for more AGL to play. Reading the Site Journal gave me an interest in the community here, and then on November 1st, 2000, I ventured into the Forum and then Chat and was hooked by the open, honest, and enjoyable community of people that I met here. Maryam and Lynette (Ayako and Kiki/unipeg at the time) had a big role in my interest -- they both gave me a very warm welcome at the start, and I remember a few things related to them from that first day of interaction.

I think that's about all the detail I can come up with for now.
