Well, the very first that I ever heard of Rinkworks was from my brother who found Book-a-minute. I read that and, well, liked it quite a lot so I read pretty much the rest of the site (at the time) from there. This would be back in November-ish of 1998.

What really kept me here though (like so many of you have already said) was the people here. I found the forum and I lurked for a very long time, enjoying what I was seeing. Eventually I ended up posting -- June 16, 1999 at 21:51:36, post number 3656. I never really posted to the forum all *that* often, but...well, when I do post something I do tend to say a lot. Just my style I suppose. :-P

As for Rinkchat, I didn't enter for a little while just because I've known chatrooms to just, well, generally suck. But eventually I was bored and decided to venture in there too and found that all the people there were like they were here on the forum. And I stayed. Even though I don't really post all that much nor go into Rinkchat all that often, I certainly continue to talk with a lot of my friends here (some of which I consider to be very close friends) through other methods and I still like the atmosphere that makes Rinkworks so great.
