Time to make the news.

The NY Times reported today that "the Pentagon is developing plans to provide news items, possibly even false ones, to foreign media organizations as part of a new effort to influence public sentiment and policy makers in both friendly and unfriendly countries." Somehow this reminds me of when Vince McMahon admitted that the outcomes in wrestling were predetermined - I knew it all along, but I was allowed to fool myself. I haven't ever blindly trusted newspapers. But now that we have a newly created multi-million dollar office in the department of defense whose sole purpose is to influence media, I trust it even less. Slowly, I wish I had a friend in every country to tell me what's going on. Or I wish I had the willingness to live in blind bliss. Eu'bliss is good'gene
