Just in case you wanted to know about the original Cinderella: her "fairy godmother" was her dead mother living in a tree; the prince, trying to see her again, held 3 balls(get your mind out of the gutter), all of which she attended; the shoe came off because he spread pitch on the steps; her stepsisters cut off their heel and toe to get the shoe to fit but some birds in the tree pointed it out; finally, the sisters got their eyes pecked out at Cinderella's wedding. Rent the movie "Into the Woods" or see it live if you can; it has the whole story plus some others. :)
