The third thing, in the Brothers Grimm version, was a set of stays (a corset) which the evil queen sold to Snow White while disguised as a pedlar. She suggested Snow White should try the stays on, and when she did, the queen laced them up for her so tightly that Snow White fainted. Fortunately the dwarfs came home in time to save her.
