Hearing about other people's inspiration can often help quite a bit. And besides, I'm sure there are other people who would like to know. :)

I started my website originally because I had free access to some webspace while in university, and the university had some HTML tutorials available. I made a really ugly website with almost nothing to say just for the sake of learning. Over time, I found that I actually had stuff to say and things to show people. My original website moved through two different hosts after university, and is currently hosted by Ria, who I met through RinkWorks.

I wouldn't presume to say that my website is good, by any means, but I do have the internet's best collection of pictures of spoiled food. Well, I think I do, anyway. The motivations behind my website have changed over time, but right now, it exists primarily to allow people to find out who I am -- possibly a bad idea, in this age of psycho internet closet stalkers. I think my best advice, though, would be to read Grishny's post and follow his advice. I sometimes find myself going through and wondering if some of my older features are worth keeping and trying to clean them up to make them more suited to the site as it exists now. My autobiography is one that hovers perpetually over the chopping block.

In case you're interested in the site, I'm linking to it below.
