What exactly *is* a vampire devilfish? I chose that on the reader poll, because I assumed a devilfish is a stingray or manta ray. I never heard "vampire devilfish" before but I know rays are called devilfish in some places. Meat from the wing flaps is a delicacy. I'd eat kelp too, in fact I have, and it's nice.

Of course, one must weigh this against the fact that a LOT of things are considered delicacies which I wouldn't eat if you gave them to me on a silver plate after six weeks of starvation.

Virtually everything else on the poll came into that category, by the way. The only thing missing was sea cucumber, which, again, is a delicacy to some people.
