I'm not sure about *holding* a lot of credit cards, but I know *applying* for a bunch makes you look bad. Like you're planning to go buy something insanely huge and then you won't be able to pay for it, or something. Unless, of course, you time it just right so that none of the credit card companies know you've applied for a bunch of other cards.

My credit rating is crap, I'm sure. I have a $30,000 student loan that we can barely afford the payments on, so they're often late. It sucks. Plus, we seem unable to pay off the balance of our credit card even though we make payments every month and haven't actually used the card in months. That sucks, too.

Blah. I hate money. :-P
