I know. My post was somewhat of a joke. There -are- plenty of great movies being made today. Just not nearly as many as there used to be.

That may be part of it, but I think that a bigger reason would be that not a lot of people like movies like that that are out of the ordinary. I know that most of my friends would think the kinds of movies I really like are stupid. There isn't a lot of advertising for them because there isn't all that big of a market for them.
