I went to Chattanooga Sunday and stopped by the Chattanooga Choo Choo for the Sunday buffet. It was very nice. I hadn't eaten there in years.
For those of you who don't frequent Tennessee's most unique city, the Choo Choo is the old Southern Railway station which is located downtown not far from the Tennesseee Aquarium and the Tow Truck Museum. They have carefully restored the old station to include a hotel, gift shops, a model railroad layout, a vintaage trolly, a beautifully restored steam engine and an elegant dining room. Some of the hotel rooms are in old Pullman cars.

Like many cities, Chattanooga has moved away from the center of town. The people are in the subdivisions and shopping malls. Most of the slums are gone and if it wasn't for the tourist, downtown would be empty. The plus is that traffic is light and it's easy to get around and there is even some free parking. With Lookout Mountain as a backdrop, it's a pretty place.

Wow, I should be writing ad copy!
