I have sites with both Angelfire and Tripod. Both are owned by the same company, Lycos, which is in turn owned by Carnegie Mellon University according to the web site. Of the two, I like Tripod better. They both give you the choice of ad formats, and they both give you 50MB of free space. But so far as I know, only Tripod gives you a "short" URL format.
What this means is that instead of your site address being http://www.angelfire.com/pa6/ elvisfan/elvisrules.com, it can something nice and short like http://elvisfan.tripod.com.
