There are six different stages you can be at during the fight (a sequence of three from the start moves you to the end, and the other three you reach when you make the wrong move somewhere).

At one of the stages along the correct path, you'll need to keep on the attack when you have Jean-Claude at a disadvantage, and resist the urge to pick up something you just dropped.
