To find Character Map, you(or your web assistant) *might* have to go through the Start menu to Settings, then to Control Panel, and click on the Add/Remove Programs icon. Then click on the Windows Setup tab, and (you may have to scroll down the list to get here) select System Tools by double-clicking. Check the box next to Character Map if it's not already checked. Then Click OK, and Click the other OK button. This should make Character Map accessible. You'll find it in Start > Programs > System Tools.
