I agree completely. I have a friend that literally
shot his eye out. He was rounding the corner
to his house and didn't realize that his brother
and friends were firing a potato gun. He was
hit in the eye at point blank range. After
numerous surgeries he still can't see out of it.
Howard is right, it is a weapon and while fun
to shoot must be used responsibly. If you do
make one, do not fire too often. Take breaks
after each shot and let the end with the flint air
out. If too much builds up it can blow the end
off and take your hand with it. Have fun but be
careful and smart.
