I haven't read the books, but as far as I can tell, they encourage kids to use their imagination and are about good conquering evil...no harm in that as far as I can see. Unfortunately a lot of people have been fed all sorts of garbage by televangelists and such. Whatever happened to thinking for yourself?

From what I've heard about them, I see the Harry Potter books as little fantasy stories involving children their age with special powers and such.
